4-pin single tube CFLs feature a single U-bent twin tube with a 2GX7 4-pin base, designed for fixtures running electronic ballasts. These are the electronic-ballast version of the standard 2-pin PL-S single tube — offering the same slim, compact profile while adding compatibility with dimmable electronic ballasts and improved flicker-free operation.
2GX7 Base
The 2GX7 is a 4-pin base specific to single tube CFLs at 13W. It is not interchangeable with the 2-pin G23 base used on magnetic-ballast single tubes — the additional two pins carry the signal for the electronic ballast. When replacing a lamp, confirm your fixture uses a 2GX7 socket before ordering.
